Hannah-isms

This age has provided us with more laughter and frustration...three is certainly a great time! Sometimes Hannah says things and we just double over in laughter or look at each other in astonishment, "Did I hear that right? Did she really just say that?" I think she'll be the quiet kid in class with the hidden sharp sense of humor that she'll share with a select group of friends. We've been trying to keep track of some of these moments to share here:

-Said to me "Mommy, I love you. And I love your big red nose." I'm not inclined to post non-flattering pictures of myself to see if in fact I do have a large, sorta red nose but apparently to a three year-old with a tiny Korean cutie nose, mine is big and red!

-Also said to me "I need my potty chair. I don't have a big butt like you mommy. I would fall into the potty." Again, I have no words!

-She's been a little, um, gassy lately. Hannah: "Gramma, do you smell that?" Gramma: "Yes, what is it?" Hannah: "It's the logs in the campfire." They were playing in a tent that apparently included a smelly campfire!

-I got a deal on Groupon and had her pictures taken yesterday at Picture People wearing her hanbok (which fits perfectly at the moment which means it sadly soon won't). Photographer: "Hannah, will you lay like this for the picture?" Hannah: "Um, I don't think so." Photog: "Well, what would you like to do?" Hannah: "Play with toys." She actually refused about 10 poses suggested; this one has a mind of her own!

-Her speech has come a long way since we started speech class in the fall. There are a few times still where we aren't quite sure what's she's saying. Example, the other day at dinner both Tim and I heard, "Daddy, are you a fascist?" How's that for vocabulary?

-After a yummy taco dinner the other night Hannah said "Mommy you are a great cooker. That's why I eat tacos all up!" Well, I couldn't be more proud-I'm a good cook and she wants to eat it all up! That's the sign of a great dinner.

-Upon waking the other morning, Hannah looked at me and asked "Am I three and a half now?" And when I said yes she responded by jumping out of bed and yelling "Hooray!" Remember when each birthday (half or otherwise) was cause for tremendous joy and celebration?!!
